Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Structural Engineer / Design Lead to join our Structures Group in the Minneapolis, MN area or nearby offices in Fargo, ND or Madison, WI. You will design and manage structural engineering for public infrastructure projects across multiple states.

The role requires leading complex design tasks, mentoring staff, and ensuring quality with adherence to codes. Travel for bridge inspection and site visits is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in Civil Engineering; PE within 6 months preferred.
• 6+ years structural engineering experience; bridge design preferred.
• Experience on diverse state/local projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience producing construction plans using AutoCAD or Bentley.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of structural designs and analyses for varying project sizes.
• Provide technical leadership in preparing construction plans, specs, and design documents.
• Oversee field inspections, issue resolution, and project delivery guidance.
• Mentor junior staff in technical and project execution activities.
• Lead bridge inspection and load rating efforts; travel as needed.
