Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. Based in the United States, you’ll work on data center projects including new builds and retrofits, performing structural analyses and developing computer models.

You will collaborate with diverse engineers and designers, travel 10–20% to client sites, and grow technically while expanding your leadership role within Jacobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with ability to become licensed in additional states.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7 and Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams.
• Travel to client sites approximately 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analysis.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices (domestic and international) and liaise with other professionals.
