OHM Advisors is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead design and delivery of a broad range of building and site projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure structural integrity and code compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, a PE license in Alabama, and a proven ability to mentor junior staff while delivering practical, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience designing buildings, foundations, and retaining walls.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and site-related structures.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Apply building codes and standards for safe, efficient designs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform structural evaluations and provide repair/redevelopment recommendations.
• Support construction through field observations and RFI responses.
• Prepare technical memoranda and engineering reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
