We are seeking an experiencedSenior Structural Engineer (Level 2)to provide advanced structural engineering services and field support for heavy industrial and power generation facilities. The ideal candidate will bring20+ years of industry experienceor hold anaccredited bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineeringwith aProfessional Engineering (PE) license. This role requires extensive knowledge of structural design principles, hands‑on project execution, and the ability to lead large‑scale, multi‑discipline engineering projects.
Providestructural engineering services and field supportfor industrial and power generation projects.
Prepare and reviewstructural designs, calculations, and construction documents.
Conductsite walkdowns and inspectionsto assess conditions, ensure compliance, and support field teams.
Developcost estimates, material takeoffs, and project schedules.
Produce and checkstructural steel design calculations, drawings, and connection details.
Ensure compliance with allapplicable codes, standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
Provide input onproject staffing, resource allocation, and scheduling requirements.
Performstructural inspectionsand generate clear, detailed reports documenting findings.
Coordinate withengineering, construction, and vendor teamsto resolve technical issues and maintain design integrity.
Contribute to project risk assessments, value engineering reviews, and design optimization initiatives.
Education:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree inStructural or Civil Engineeringfrom an ABET-accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) Licenserequired or in active pursuit.
Experience:
20+ years ofheavy industrial or power plant engineering experience.
Proven track record instructural steel and concrete designfor large‑scale facilities.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency inSTAAD.Proor equivalent structural analysis software.
Strong working knowledge ofASCE, AISC, ACI, and OSHAstandards and methodologies.
Expertise inconnection design, material selection, and construction support.
Advanced proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suiteandengineering documentation tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability tomanage multiple large‑scale projectsand coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience supportingpower generation, petrochemical, or heavy industrial construction projects.
Familiarity withfield inspection and fabrication processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead junior engineers and review design deliverables.
