Job summary

Lvi-Associates in New York is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to join our growing multidisciplinary team. You will work on diverse building projects, performing analysis, design, and assessments, and contribute to rehabilitation and investigation work.

This hands-on role also offers pathways to project management, client interaction, and leadership responsibilities. Ideal candidates have NY PE, a Civil/Structural degree, and 5+ years in consulting, with proficiency in structural

Qualifications

• New York PE license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience in consulting or design.
• Strong background in calculations, analysis, and construction documentation.
• Experience using structural analysis software.
• Familiarity with Revit or comparable BIM software preferred.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and perform site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building projects using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Develop calculations, reports, and supporting design documentation.
• Prepare drawings, details, specs, and related deliverables.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFI, and support construction-phase services.
• Visit sites to document conditions and monitor progress.
• Evaluate existing structures and propose retrofit solutions.
• Contribute to forensic investigations and assess structural conditions.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards through QA reviews.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
