Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall, NJ seeks a Senior Staff Engineer for the Structural Department to lead design and analyses for diverse building projects. You will prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents while coordinating with civil, mechanical, electrical, and architecture teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, and an EIT certification (or ability to obtain soon after hire).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• 2–4 years of structural design experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• EIT certification required or able to obtain shortly after hire.
• Experience with RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar analysis programs.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building systems (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Assist with construction documents including drawings, specifications, and details.
• Coordinate structural design with civil, mechanical, electrical, and architecture disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs during construction.
• Assist with field observations and site visits.
