Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Structural Engineer in Ohio to support regional structural and bridge projects. You will work hands-on with contractors, project managers, and internal teams to deliver safe, code-compliant designs and grow into leadership roles over time.

You will perform design, analysis, and coordination across multiple disciplines, ensuring adherence to AASHTO, ASCE, and AISC standards while collaborating on reviews and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Active PE license from any U.S. state.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis and design methodologies.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, ASCE, and AISC codes.
• Experience in bridge design, inspections, or load rating.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural engineering design plans, drawings, and calculations for temporary and permanent structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design using steel and bridge principles.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and drafting teams to deliver constructible solutions.
• Evaluate site conditions, load paths, and structural demands per governing codes and standards (AASHTO/ASCE/AISC).
• Support projects from concept through construction, participating in reviews and revisions, including site visits.
• Assist with bridge design, rehabilitation, inspections, load rating, and other transportation structures.
