Strong CAD skills in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD are essential. Ideal candidates will have a PE license, 10+ years in bridge-focused transportation projects, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in transportation projects with a focus on bridge design.
• Experience with conceptual, preliminary, and final design plans for bridges per Federal and State codes.
• Experience with performing bridge load ratings.
• Ability to lead a design team and manage small groups and projects.
• Detail- and goal-oriented, a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to develop CAD drawings in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to develop proposals, schedules and manage tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead structural engineering and project engineering responsibilities on design projects.
• Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs.
• Perform engineering design calculations.
• Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and preparation of contract bid documents.
• Lead a team of structural engineers on design projects.
• Perform field inspections to evaluate existing conditions and document measurements.
• Perform QA/QC duties for projects.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers.
• Assist with preparation of task proposals.
