Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the hybrid work team. You will perform complex structural analyses using 2D/3D FEM, guide junior engineers, and support design, manufacturing, and field activities.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Civil Engineering, 8 years of experience (or 5 with an advanced degree), 4 years in structural analysis, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience with structural analysis; 8 years total experience or an advanced degree with 5 years experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis via hand calculations, 2D and 3D finite element modeling.
• Provide oversight and technical guidance for less experienced engineers and outsourced tasks.
• Perform structural analysis and provide analytical support through all design phases and support to manufacturing and operational services.
• Document analysis and present results and recommendations to product teams, management and customers.
• Participate on multi-discipline teams as the structures expert to balance performance, cost, schedule, and other requirements.
