RTX’s Pratt & Whitney MSEN engineering team seeks a Structures Engineer to perform structural analyses for externals and mechanical systems, ensuring durability, performance, and cost targets. You will participate in multidisciplinary teams, support validation tests, and contribute to continuous improvement.

The role requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace/civil engineering (MS preferred), 5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ with an advanced degree, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
• MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred.
• U.S. Citizen – access requires citizenship.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural analysis for Externals and Mechanical Systems hardware across design stages.
• Serve as structural lead on multi-disciplinary teams ensuring durability, performance, cost, and weight targets.
• Support validation tests, monitor instrumentation, and evaluate results against requirements.
• Assist with in‑service field investigations as needed.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS and related tools.
• Contribute to engineering standard work processes and continuous improvement.
• Document analysis results and present findings to management and customers.
• Work in a hybrid environment with some on‑site and remote days; travel up to 10%.
