Job summary

Ibis Recruiting seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and mentor a team responsible for structural analyses of wireless infrastructure assets. You will review analyses for code compliance and accuracy and perform evaluations to determine structural capacity of existing structures and foundations.

The role requires wind/seismic loading expertise, designing reinforcement for overstress conditions, and producing permitting documentation. Onsite in West Palm Beach with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
• PE license is required.
• TNX Tower and RISA 3D proficiency required.
• Experience with foundation analysis software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers for structural analyses of wireless assets and related structures.
• Review structural analyses for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform structural evaluations of existing structures, foundations, antenna support systems, and related infrastructure to determine capacity.
• Conduct wind and seismic loading evaluations and determine governing design criteria.
• Design and oversee reinforcement and modification solutions for overstressed structures.
• Coordinate with drafting/design teams to produce construction and bid documentation.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record for signed and sealed deliverables.
• Prepare reports and construction documentation for permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Support leadership in achieving production goals, KPI targets, and process improvements.
• Assist with workflow coordination across operations, vendors, consultants, and field crews.
• Participate in due diligence for infrastructure acquisitions.
• Stay current on industry standards and code revisions.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices and efficiencies.
• Represent the organization in industry groups as needed.
• Onsite in West Palm Beach area with minimal travel.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for structural analyses of existing wireless infrastructure assets and related structures
• Review structural and foundation analyses for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Perform structural evaluations of existing structures, foundations, antenna support systems, and related infrastructure to determine structural capacity
• Conduct wind and seismic loading evaluations and determine governing design criteria
• Design and oversee complex reinforcement and modification solutions for existing structures experiencing overstress conditions
• Coordinate closely with drafting and design teams to produce accurate construction and bid documentation
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record (EOR) for signed and sealed engineering deliverables
• Prepare and review engineering reports and construction documentation used for permitting and regulatory approvals
• Support engineering leadership in achieving production goals, KPI targets, and engineering process improvements
• Assist with engineering workflow coordination across operations, vendors, consultants, and field crews
• Participate in defect review and due diligence efforts related to infrastructure acquisitions
• Stay current on industry standards, code revisions, and evolving infrastructure requirements
• Provide technical guidance on engineering best practices, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
• Represent the organization in industry groups, technical committees, or engineering forums as needed

Leadership Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Design Engineers and junior engineering staff
• Support onboarding, technical training, and ongoing professional development initiatives within the engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline required
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience required
• Wireless infrastructure or related structural engineering industry experience strongly preferred
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proficiency with TNX Tower and RISA 3D software required
• Additional experience with foundation analysis software is a plus
• Strong understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards including:

• IBC
• ACI
• ASCE 7

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a highly cross-functional team environment
• Primarily onsite in the West Palm Beach area or Remote
• Participation in team, departmental, and company meetings required

A growing infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support the structural integrity, analysis, and ongoing development of a large portfolio of wireless infrastructure assets.
