The Senior Structural Designer/Detailer will be responsible for the detailed design and drafting of structural components for various projects, including bridges, culverts, dams, buildings, and other structures. This role requires extensive experience in structural detailing, proficiency in AutoCAD, and effective collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

1. Structural Design and Detailing: Lead design and detailing of structural systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ensuring compliance with codes such as AASHTO, NJDOT, ACI, ASCE, IBC NJ Edition.
2. AutoCAD Proficiency: Prepare comprehensive construction drawings, plans, sections, and details, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
3. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and team members for seamless design integration and timely project completion.
4. Quality Control: Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
5. Mentorship and Training: Guide junior designers and foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Experience: At least 7 years in structural design and detailing with a successful project track record.
3. Licensure: PE license in New Jersey preferred.
4. Technical Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with RISA software and others is a plus.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
