Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with an active NCEES record.
• Successful completion of FE and PE examinations.
• 9+ years with ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor's+2-year master in Civil/Structural/Architectural Eng.
• 10+ years with ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor's in Civil/Structural/Architectural Eng.
• 12+ years with a non-U.S. four-year degree, with at least two years of U.S. engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

The Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering efforts on projects from concept through construction. This position combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement, and team mentorship, offering the opportunity to play a key role in both project success and the continued growth of the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams while leading structural design efforts across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering tasks and project components through all phases of design and construction.
• Design and analyze foundations, buildings, and other structures utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, design drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical deliverables.
• Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and constructability reviews.
• Perform site assessments, inspections, surveys, and construction observations.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, project managers, clients, and internal design teams.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Support business development initiatives and foster strong client relationships.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project progress effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited four-year program or equivalent degree subject to review.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required with an active NCEES record.
• Successful completion of the FE and PE examinations.
• Experience requirements based on education:
  • 9+ years with an ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor's degree and a two-year master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 10+ years with an ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 12+ years with a non-U.S. four-year degree, including at least two years of engineering experience in the United States.
• Strong experience in structural design and analysis of buildings and related structures.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, ENERCALC, L-Pile, PCA MATS, or similar software.
• Experience preparing specifications, technical reports, and construction documentation.
• Ability to review engineering calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Familiarity with federal, DoD, VA, or UFC design standards is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and coordinating project teams.
• Interest in business development and client relationship management.
• SE licensure, or progression toward the SE, is preferred.
• Ability to travel for project and client requirements as needed.
