Edoxx Technical Services LLC is a US-based company located in Houston, Texas. We have access to over 350 highly experienced engineers and technicians specializing in Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering, along with related fields such as Project Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting.
The Senior Structural Engineer will work on-site with the Denver, CO Structural Engineering team, providing structural engineering services including performing structural analysis and design calculations in accordance with engineering principles, industry standards, and applicable codes for small to mid-capital projects for Worley and its clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural engineering design, including preparation, review, and checking of calculations and design sketches for steel structures, equipment foundations, piling, and concrete foundations for accuracy. Support processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporating comments and findings.
- Apply generally accepted engineering and design practices, techniques, and relevant regulatory requirements to ensure technical excellence and compliance with customer specifications.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, external clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to observe new construction or assess existing conditions for retrofit or change of use.
- Participate in quality control activities related to deliverables, stay current with codes, standards, and advancements in engineering and construction materials.
- Compile data and calculate material quantities related to structural disciplines.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and security standards.
- Gather data, perform analyses, and prepare engineering studies and recommendations, culminating in final documentation for client approval.
- Identify technical issues, develop innovative solutions, and document findings through technical queries and deviations.
- Create comprehensive final documentation, review, and authorize work by peers, and seek client approval.
- Participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews to incorporate project requirements into engineering designs.
Technical/Industry Experience Requirements:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, mining, metals, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, and IBC standards.
- Knowledge of PIP standards.
- Proficiency with Staad, LPile, MathCAD, and MS Office; basic AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks 3D skills; AutoCAD 3D preferred.
- Willingness to perform site visits and occasional local travel up to 20%.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to write technical reports.
- Current Colorado PE license or license in another state with ability to obtain Colorado PE; SE license in at least one state preferred.
