Job summary

Qualifications

Four years of drafting experience, including at least one year in structural engineering.
Minimum qualifications under NY HELPS/55-b/55-c pathways as described in the notice.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings of moderate to complex difficulty using MicroStation.
Prepare and check engineering computations.
Prepare and check quantity estimates.
Perform field investigations to collect data.
Develop physical engineering models for design, clash detection, visualization, construction coordination, contract plan preparation, and estimating.
Prepare and maintain department standard details for bridges (BD Sheets) and the Office of Structures Bridge Manual.
Review contractor submittals for construction and fabrication of structural elements.
Special assignments to address management needs.
Serve a role within the Incident Command System to support state emergency responses.
