Job summary
Jackola Engineering & Architecture in Bozeman, Montana is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer to join as the Structural Discipline Lead. This role guides discipline standards, mentors staff, and drives technical excellence across the firm.
You will lead design teams through project delivery, ensure quality documentation, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors while advancing structural engineering practices within the company.
Qualifications
- Licensed Structural Engineer with PE; SE designation is a plus.
- 10+ years of post-graduate engineering experience.
- Extensive design experience with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and value engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and maintenance of structural design standards.
- Mentor staff and identify training opportunities.
- Serve as primary technical resource for structural matters.
- Evaluate candidates and assess technical competency.
- Collaborate with Discipline Leads to set best practices.
- Lead structural design staff through project phases.
- Coordinate multi-discipline efforts and address construction challenges.
- Respond to contractors during construction.
