Job summary

AEP Manufacturing Administrative Services, LLC seeks a Structural Steel Detailing Manager to lead the detailing department for Turnkey Processing Solutions, LLC. This role manages SDS2 modeling, detailing, and coordination between engineering, project management, fabrication, construction, and customers to deliver accurate fabrication packages.

The ideal candidate will have extensive steel detailing experience, leadership abilities, and strong knowledge of AISC/AWS standards, BIM workflows, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Construction Technology, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 8 years of structural steel detailing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of detailing leadership, supervisory, or project coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural steel detailing department and personnel.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign detailing resources across multiple projects.
• Oversee SDS2 models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication packages.
• Review models for coordination with mechanical equipment and ensure constructability.
• Coordinate with project managers, fabrication, purchasing, engineering, and construction teams to align schedules.
• Establish and maintain detailing standards, templates, and quality procedures.
