Stantec’s Buildings team in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to independently complete calculations and drawings on small to medium projects and lead junior engineers on larger ones. The role requires PE licensure and experience with standard structural software like Revit, CSI, and RAM.

You will oversee specifications, coordinate with architectural interiors and other disciplines, and perform Construction Administration tasks including RFIs and change orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering license is required; structural license preferred.
• Experience with structural design software (Revit, CSI, RISA, RAM) is expected.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers on complex projects.

Responsabilités

• Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects.
• Develop job-specific specifications independently for less complex projects.
• Lead junior engineers on complex projects.
• Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, and change orders.
• Use company and manufacturer software for design calculations and modeling.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients.
• Understand industry-standard design processes and construction means and methods.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget with high client service levels.
• Nurture existing client relationships and assist with design standards.
