Job summary

Integral Engineering Group, LLC seeks a Senior Structural Designer to develop structural systems for complex industrial and government facilities. You will produce detailed 3D models in Revit and 2D drawings in AutoCAD, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to design reviews.

The role emphasizes experience with regulated environments (nuclear/DOE/DoD), model coordination, and document management using Vault and ReCap. Travel to Kingsport, TN is possible.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant structural design/drafting experience
• Strong working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for structural design and drafting
• Familiarity with Navisworks Manage for 3D model coordination, clash detection, and design review
• Familiarity with Autodesk ReCap and point-cloud data for existing-condition documentation and modeling

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural design and construction drawings for industrial and government facilities, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and structural layouts.
• Produce and maintain accurate 3D structural models using Revit and detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop structural framing, equipment support, platforms, stairs, ladders, foundations, steel connections, and other structural components under the direction of structural engineers.
• Interpret engineering calculations, specifications, sketches, field measurements, and design criteria and incorporate requirements into detailed design drawings and models.
• Coordinate structural designs with mechanical, electrical, civil, process, and other disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary model coordination and design reviews using Navisworks Manage.
• Utilize Autodesk Vault for document, drawing, and design-file management in accordance with project requirements.
• Utilize ReCap and point-cloud data to support existing-condition modeling, facility documentation, and development of as-built or retrofit designs.
• Support site visits, field surveys, walkdowns, and collection of existing-condition information.
• Develop and update existing facility models and drawings based on field data and laser-scanned/point-cloud information.
• Assist structural engineers with design development, drawing production, calculations, material takeoffs, and technical documentation.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve technical and design issues.
• Interpret and apply applicable Federal, State, and Local codes and standards, including DOE requirements where applicable.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet project schedules, budgets, and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively, ask clarifying questions, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
