Job summary

Amentum seeks a Structural Designer for its Advanced Solutions Group to lead drafting on high-profile projects, including wind tunnels and test facilities. You will supervise a team, develop 2D drawings and 3D models, and ensure work aligns with client requirements, scope, and schedule.

The role requires 10–20 years in structural drafting, strong CAD skills, and the ability to guide less experienced staff while solving design challenges across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• US Citizen; works on government projects.
• 10–20 years in 2D drawings and 3D models of structures.
• Working knowledge of CAE/CAD systems and drafting standards.
• Ability to lead a small team of designers and drafters.

Responsibilities

• Provides drafting team leadership on major projects and checks drawings.
• Mentors junior drafters and coordinates work with management.
• Performs complex drafting tasks from concepts and sketches.
• Ensures designs meet specifications, budgets, and schedules.
