Job summary

Globalpundits, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to develop complex engineering system designs, produce drawings, and support construction activities.

The role emphasizes 3D modeling proficiency, strict adherence to codes, and detailed technical reporting. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural design, strong knowledge of national codes, and experience with 3D modeling using Hexagon's S3D.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical discipline with 10–12 years of work experience.
• Alternatively 12–16 years of practical work experience in structural design.
• Formal training in CAD or 3D modeling is preferred.
• Experience with 3D structural modeling and Hexagon's S3D software is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for complex engineering systems and prepare drawings.
• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide engineering services support to construction activities and bid analyses.
• Prepare construction installation specifications and procurement details.
• Review and approve Design Change Forms and coordinate with Subcontractors or other responsible groups.
• Provide dispositions to Nonconformance Reports and Field Problem Memos by determining a solution.
• Perform inspections by facilities, systems, or components for proper evaluation.
• Review construction procedures to ensure compliance with design criteria and codes.
