Job summary

OLH Inc. invites a Structural Design Engineer to join the SRNS program in Aiken, SC. The role focuses on leadership in design and analysis of concrete, steel, and composite structures, ensuring compliance with national codes and project requirements.

The position requires 10+ years in nuclear/industrial facilities, proficiency in STAAD, and registration as a PE or Civil Engineer. A 40-hour week with potential overtime and on-site work are typical.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years of experience.
• A MS with 8+ years of experience.
• A BS with 10+ years of experience or more.
• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of STAAD.
• Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.
• The candidate must perform weekly field walk downs of the job site for the engineering work.

• Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective results.
• Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
• Apply technical experience to resolve complex problems and lead in determining solutions.
• Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving technical tasks identified by management.
• Develop schedules, monitor progress and expenditures.
