Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks a Principal Structural Design Engineer for onsite work at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. A PhD with 5+ years, MS with 8+ years, or BS with 10+ years is required, plus proficiency in STAAD.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of design and analysis experience in nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of STAAD.
• Familiarity with National Codes and Standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, AWS, NFPA, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Define scope of technical programs and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less senior professionals.
• Apply field experience to resolve complex design and analysis challenges.
• Prepare plans, schedules, budgets and monitor expenditures for technical tasks.
• Communicate results and recommendations to customers, colleagues and management.
