Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or similar discipline.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• PE license is required.
• SE license is required.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, steel structures, and seismic analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis including establishing criteria and performing calculations.
• Ensure compliance with NRC, ASME, ANSI, and other applicable codes and standards.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, architectural, electrical, and chemical engineers to design safe and performant structures.
• Prepare and review code-compliant designs up to permit level; create drawings (Revit/AutoCAD) and generate calculations and reports.
• Review and approve work by junior engineers, BIM specialists, and contractors; serve as Engineer of Record as needed.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning; respond to RFIs and site inspections to resolve issues.
• Contribute to concept development, feasibility studies, and scope definition for structural solutions.
