STV Incorporated in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects in our Transportation group at the Empire State Building office. The role requires strong command of LRFR/LFD analysis, contract document production, and QA across highway and railroad structures.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree (Masters preferred), 7+ years of experience, and a PE license or NY licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license required; NY licensure preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years in structural/bridge design and related work.
• Experience with NYCDOT/NYSDOT/Port Authority projects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write specs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Design & analysis of new bridges and rehabilitation projects.
• Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD methodologies.
• Prepare contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

This individual will be responsible to perform design of new bridges and rehabilitation of bridges, quality assurance, mentor entry level staff.
