Responsibilities

• Design projects of new products from concept to validation.
• Sustain and transition designs from R&D to production.
• Support products during manufacturing and field operations.
• Analyze products and propose improvements.
• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials.
• Review and approve junior engineers' designs.
• Resolve engineering problems with innovative designs.
• Manage projects within budget and schedule.
• Support design import and integration.
• Collaborate on material substitutions.
• Develop prototypes.
• Ensure product quality through quality control plans.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency with design input.
• Provide manufacturing engineering support.
• Assist during rig-up stages of production.
• Design based on customer requests.
• Perform calculations including hand calculations and FEA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong design background with mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, quality, and product development.
• Proficient in CAD and SOLIDWORKS.
• 7+ years of experience, preferably with field experience and drilling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various physical environments.
• Authorized to work in the US for any employer.
