Stanley Consultants is seeking a Structural Department Manager for the West Palm Beach, FL office. Hybrid work arrangement and a strong focus on growing the transportation structural market in Florida.

Qualifications

• Must have MS in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering from accredited institution.
• At least 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience at the Project Manager level.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
• Must have recent relevant structural design experience for Florida DOT, and other Local Government projects.
• Requires considerable experience preparing preliminary and final bridge design contract documents for roadway, railway, and waterway crossing bridges.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals, and Bridge Evaluation.
• Experience with FDOT standards, Structures Manual, Soils and Foundations Handbook, and related design manuals.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software including several listed tools.
• Proven leadership, communication, mentoring, and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a transportation structural team for Florida market.
• Lead and mentor project teams on transportation structural design projects.
• Determine staffing requirements and support hiring decisions.
• Develop and implement strategic growth strategies with leadership.
• Develop marketing strategies and proposals for transportation projects.
• Participate in scoping, fee estimating, proposals, interviews, and negotiations.
• Provide department status, performance, and forecasts to Group Manager.
