Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer in South Portland, Maine, to advance our Transportation Practice. You will design bridges from concept through final design, develop bid packages, and collaborate with DOTs and municipal staff to deliver safe, compliant projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage schedules and budgets, and participate in leadership activities within transportation organizations. A PE license and 10+ years of bridge experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis required.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of bridge/culvert design experience.
• DOT bridge design experience and knowledge of DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for bridge projects from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients and project managers.
• Lead coordination among design teams and stakeholders.
