Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to expand our Transportation Market footprint in the Midwest and southern regions. A bachelor’s in civil engineering with structural emphasis, a PE license, and 7+ years of bridge design experience are required. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MicroStation/Geopak/ORD is preferred.

Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote/office schedule is available, and the team collaborates across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis in structural engineering.
• 7 years of transportation structural design experience required.
• PE license required; NHI Bridge Inspection certification preferred or obtainable.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and design of bridges essential; experience with MDOT/ODOT/other DOT packages required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical lead roles in design and management of conventional and complex bridges.
• Lead analysis, design, and construction support for bridge types and related structures.
• Prepare PS&E packages using federal, state, and local standards.
• Design and manage civil projects including bridges, culverts, and earth retaining structures.
• Conduct bridge load ratings and inspections/scoping.
