Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to expand its footprint in the Midwest transportation market. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis, 4+ years of bridge design experience, and a PE license are required; NHI Bridge Inspection certification is preferred.

We value strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills, with a flexible hybrid-remote/office schedule after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis is required.
• 4+ years of transportation structural design experience is required.
• PE license is required; NHI Bridge Inspection certification preferred or obtainable.
• Experience with MDOT/ODOT/DOT packages and local agency designs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for design and rehabilitation of bridges and related structures.
• Lead analysis, design, and construction-support services for various bridge types.
• Prepare layouts, plans, specs, and estimates using applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with the design team and clients.
• Perform bridge load ratings and inspections; document findings and recommendations.
• Mentor staff and support proposals, budgets, and schedules.
