Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 6–10 years bridge design and inspection experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in IA or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Solid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes
• Ability to produce design calculations and documentation
• Proficiency in bridge design software and CAD systems such as LEAP, AASHTOWare, Larsa, MIDAS, MDX, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and OpenBridge Modeler

Responsibilities

• Work on transportation projects focusing on bridges and other structures
• Serve in a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects
• Perform complex structural analysis and design for transportation projects
• Develop design, plan preparations, specifications, and reports; some inspection may be required
