Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer for the Southeast Region, based in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, or Chipley, FL.

A Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is required, with 5–10 years of bridge design experience and a PE license. You will design and review steel and concrete bridges, perform analyses with Open Bridge, Leap Bridge, CSI Bridge, and related tools, prepare drawings in Open Bridge, MicroStation, and AutoCAD, and collaborate with drainage and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of bridge design experience.
• PE license required and FDOT project experience.
• Experience with Open Bridge, Leap Bridge, CSI Bridge or similar.
• Proficiency in Open Bridge, MicroStation and AutoCAD drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of structural engineering principles.
• Design and repair of highway bridges and retaining walls, bridge load ratings, and cost estimating.
• Analyze structures using structural engineering software.
• Prepare or check structural calculations and details for steel and concrete.
• Prepare structural drawings in Open Bridge, MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with roadway and drainage teams to ensure conformance with drawings.
• Collaborate with the Southeast Region Structures Team.
