Job summary

Castelion Corporation in California seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with deep experience in structural bonding to develop, qualify, and scale bonded-joint manufacturing for Castelion’s solid rocket motors and related hypersonic hardware.

You will own process definition, surface preparation, adhesive selection and application, cure control, inspection, and yield improvement while partnering with Design, Quality, Tooling & Automation, Production, and Site Operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace engineering required.
6–10+ years of aerospace or high-reliability bonding experience.
3+ years owning bonding processes and transitioning to production.
Experience qualifying bonding processes and production ramp.

Responsibilities

Own manufacturing processes for structural bonding in SRM hardware.
Develop and qualify surface preparation, adhesive application, cure and inspection.
Implement DFMEA, control plans and SPC to improve yield and cycle time.
Define in-process inspection and NDE strategies for bond-line integrity.
Lead root-cause analysis for disbonds, voids and cure issues.
Collaborate with Design, Quality, Tooling and Production teams.
