Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Specialist on the Structural team to support BIM detailing using Revit and related tools. You will translate concepts into accurate models and drawings, coordinating with engineers and designers for constructible outputs.

You will lead BIM coordination with architectural and MEP models, implement standards, and mentor junior staff. This role emphasizes collaboration, quality control, and efficient project delivery across

Qualifications

Two- or four-year degree or certificate in Drafting, BIM, Civil/Structural Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in a structural drafting or BIM role.
Experience in a consulting structural engineering environment.
Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar coordination tools.
Knowledge of BIM execution plans, model coordination workflows, and LOD requirements.
Exposure to construction documents for commercial/industrial projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor others on BIM/VDC processes.
Proactive, self-directed project work and process improvements.
On-site observation and documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and revise structural BIM models in Autodesk Revit for various projects and ensure compliance with standards.
Produce structural drawings, details, and schedules to support design and construction documentation.
Assist structural engineers with model setup, standards, and drawing production.
Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP models to identify and resolve clashes.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and address coordination issues.
Implement and adhere to BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
Assist with model quality control for accuracy and constructability.
Support project teams during design development, permitting, and construction phases.
Mentor less experienced structural team members on BIM/VDC processes.
Ensure BEP adherence and manage project-specific BIM standards for structural systems.
