Job summary

Datum Engineers Inc. seeks a Senior Structural BIM Technician to lead the BIM process across projects, developing execution plans, establishing BIM standards, and training staff while collaborating with Project Managers, Design Engineers, BIM/Revit Technicians, and Architects.

The role oversees the production of all structural drawings in Revit, ensures quality control and dimensional accuracy, coordinates with engineers, and manages Revit template upgrades and ongoing BIM maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Science Degree is required.
• Proficient with Revit Structure or Revit Architecture.
• Working knowledge of construction methodology for structural systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Integrity and initiative; eager learner.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM execution plans, set BIM standards, train staff, and ensure BIM processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the production of all working drawings.
• Accountable for quality control, dimensional accuracy, plan coordination, and documentation.
• Interact with Project Engineer, Design Engineers, BIM/Revit Technicians, and Architect to develop structural drawings in coordination with plans.
• Attend design meetings and resolve dimensional and coordination issues to produce accurate drawings.
• Manage BIM and Revit upgrades and template standards; troubleshoot issues as needed.
