Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr Specialist, Structural Analyst Mechanical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary structural analysis on space systems in Palm Bay, FL. You will model complex components, perform advanced stress and dynamic analyses, and guide technical decisions with senior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; 6+ years related experience preferred. Graduate degree or 10+ years experience substitute.
Experience with structural analysis methods including FEA and hand calculations.
Experience in aerospace structures with emphasis on structural and dynamics analysis.
Professional experience with FEA software and pre/post-processing solvers.

Responsibilities

Interpret design specs and develop finite element models for complex components and assemblies.
Perform stress, strain, modal, dynamic/shock, and acoustic analyses.
Lead structural design and analysis activities as IPT lead; coordinate with leads and management.
Present analysis results to customers, reviewers, and stakeholders; support proposals and design reviews.
