L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Space Structures) in Palm Bay, FL. The role leads structural analysis efforts across bids, proposals, testing, and program execution, delivering validated analysis to support decisions across aerospace and space systems.

The engineer will mentor others, improve analysis methods, and leverage scripting for efficiency. Security clearance (TS/SCI) is a consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 10+ years; alternatively 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of professional experience with structural analysis methods (FEA and hand-calculations) and experience with FEA software (Femap with Nastran)
• 5+ years of structural analysis for aerospace/space systems including linear and nonlinear simulation
• Experience with vibration, shock, fatigue, deployment, and structural testing environments

Responsibilities

• Develop structural analysis content and Basis of Estimate inputs for bids and proposals.
• Interface with suppliers, customers and other engineering disciplines to drive designs to closure.
• Support structural analysis for active programs including vibration testing and deployment simulation.
• Perform linear and nonlinear finite element analysis to evaluate structural integrity and loads.
• Generate analysis products to support hardware dispositions and risk assessments.
• Provide technical oversight and analysis support at milestones (PDR/CDR).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, loads and environments.
• Advise on analysis efficiency through scripting and automation.
• Mentor teammates and reinforce engineering fundamentals.
