Job summary

Prometheus Energetics seeks an experienced Structural Analyst / Senior Structural Analyst to own the structural integrity and FEA for Solid Rocket Motor structures. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 4–6 years of FEA/structural analysis experience for aerospace or energetic propulsion systems.
• 7–10+ years ownership of structural analysis and design for solid rocket motors or launch vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural sizing, margin-of-safety assessments, and strength evaluations for motor components.
• Perform linear/non-linear static, dynamic, modal, and buckling analyses on primary and secondary motor structures.
• Plan and analyze hydroburst/proof pressure tests and correlate FEM predictions with test data.
• Develop SARs, design allowables, and qualification artifacts; present findings at milestones.
