Job summary

Prometheus Energetics, an independent U.S.-based supplier of solid rocket motors and warheads, seeks an experienced Structural Analyst to own structural lifecycle from sizing to production support.

The role emphasizes FEA, materials evaluation, testing correlation, and cross-functional collaboration, with 4–10 years of hands-on experience in composite/metallic pressure vessels; U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• 4–6 years of FE analysis or aerospace structural experience (Analyst).
• 7–10+ years for Senior Structural Analyst owning structural stress analysis.
• Proficiency in Abaqus, ANSYS, Nastran/Patran, HyperMesh.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead sizing, margin-of-safety, and strength evaluations for SRM components.
• Develop and maintain 2D/3D FEM models using industry tools.
• Perform static, dynamic, modal, and buckling analyses.
• Plan and analyze structural test campaigns and correlate with models.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure ITAR/EAR compliance.
