Job summary

Prometheus Energetics seeks an experienced Structural Analyst/Senior Structural Analyst to serve as the primary technical authority for structural integrity, FEA, and fracture mechanics of SRM structures. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role owns the structural lifecycle from sizing to production support.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in composite/metallic pressure vessels, nozzles, or energetic grain mechanics, with advanced modeling skills and factory‑floor integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• 4–6 years for Structural Analyst or 7–10+ years for Senior Structural Analyst in FEA and composite/pressure vessel analysis.
• Proficiency with FEA tools and aerospace materials theory.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural sizing, margin‑of‑safety assessments, and strength evaluations for SRM components.
• Develop and validate 2D/3D FEM models; conduct static, dynamic, buckling, and thermal analyses.
• Perform fracture mechanics, damage tolerance, and fatigue analyses to establish margins.
• Plan and correlate structural tests; mentor junior staff; ensure ITAR compliance.
