Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials)
• 14+ years of related work experience
• Experience performing stress analysis on composite structures
• 7+ years of FEM modeling with Hypermesh, MSC Nastran/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Stress Check
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and willingness to obtain program access
• Ability to travel at least 10% domestically

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
• Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product environment
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and FEM models throughout the lifecycle
• Lead development of test plans, support test execution and analyze results to verify requirements
• Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies
• Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and improvements
• Develop analytical processes/tools to improve development efficiency
• Work under minimal direction
