Job summary

Actalent in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer for a contract-to-hire role supporting aerospace and defense programs. You will perform advanced finite element analyses, develop structural specifications, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

Requirements include 8–10 years of structural analysis, BS or MS in STEM, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. The target pay is $45–75 per hour, with onsite work at our Chandler facility.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in structural analysis, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• 6–8 years of linear/nonlinear FEA and fracture and fatigue analysis.
• 2 years of thermal mapping with structures, high-temperature materials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop structural specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite structures throughout all product life cycle phases.
• Analyze and develop solutions to complex structural problems.
• Perform classical and finite element analyses: loads, dynamics, stress, fatigue, and thermal assessment.
• Conduct nonlinear analysis through to failure in missile systems projects.
• Perform hand calculations to verify work and validate software or simulations.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and mentor junior engineers.
