Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer III to lead design and analysis of structural systems, applying hand calculations and finite element methods. As a Responsible Engineer, you will own discrete technical packages and mentor junior engineers, while coordinating with multiple disciplines and external parties to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree with at least 3 years preferred.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience in structural analysis or related disciplines.
• Expertise in structural analysis and general knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to provide solutions to wide-ranging technical problems that are imaginative, thorough, practical, and aligned with objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative solutions to structural integrity problems.
• Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions with technical excellence.
• Collaborate across all technical disciplines to ensure project coherence.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
