Job summary

RTX’s Marlborough, MA site is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Structural Analysis to lead detailed structural analyses across development and production programs, from hand calculations to finite element methods.

You will define analysis scope, present results for peer reviews, and mentor teams while collaborating with internal and external customers, with a focus on safety, performance, and cost discipline.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 3+ years of related work preferred.
• Experience in structural analysis using standard FE tools.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Strong collaboration and communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analyses across program life cycles.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware.
• Analyze test data to validate models and derive loads.
• Lead peer reviews and present results to stakeholders.
• Travel to test sites and mentor MA&T teams.
