Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Structural Stress Analysis Engineer to join the Structural Engineering and Analysis team supporting NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Programs. You will provide structural engineering, analysis, and test support for space telescopes, earth science satellites, and mission hardware.

Role involves developing flight hardware, performing FEA, and generating analysis reports while complying with NASA/GSFC requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of structural analysis experience.
• Experience with FEA, load/stress analysis.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Support development of flight hardware from concept to launch.
• Perform structural analyses using classical mechanics and FEA to meet stiffness, strength, STOP requirements.
• Create FEMs for normal modes, static and dynamic analyses.
• Support static and dynamic structural testing andDocumentation.
• Adhere to NASA/GSFC requirements and procedures.
