Qualifications

• 6+ years in structural or stress engineering, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Experience in FEA tools (FEMAP, MSC Patran, NX NASTRAN, ANSYS).
• Hands-on calculations to validate FEA results.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering simulations using FEA to evaluate structural performance.
• Conduct dynamic and static stress analyses on primary and secondary structures.
• Execute hand calculations to validate FEA results.
• Analyze damage tolerance, durability, fatigue, fracture, and stress limits.
• Evaluate producibility, manufacturability, and cost considerations.
• Assess dynamics, loads, stability for complex systems.
• Perform thermal analysis and integrate findings into design.
• Review and develop structural specifications.
• Recommend design approaches to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in aerospace/defense projects.
• Support FSAM and ground vehicle programs with structural analysis.
• Document methods, assumptions, and results clearly.
