Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Stress Engineer 4 in Savannah, GA, offering a contract (long term) with a pay rate of $87.40/hour. The role requires a U.S.

Person under ITAR, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and extensive experience in stress analysis within aerospace/defense sectors. Primary duties involve resolving complex engineering issues, guiding major programs, and developing standards and guides to balance product, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum.
• Experience: 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years in several disciplines with a Bachelor's.
• Advanced degree in engineering preferred.
• Experience selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Experience developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Serves as a recognized authority within the field and is consulted extensively by associates.
• Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities to anticipate and resolve complex issues.
• Balances technical product, cost, and schedule in problem-solving approaches.
• Works with minimal direction and makes authoritative technical decisions.
• Guides successful completion of major engineering programs.
• Conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting development and production.
• Keeps current knowledge of developments in aircraft fields to recommend innovations.
• Applies advanced engineering principles to improve product quality and effectiveness.
