The City of Greenville is seeking a skilled street maintenance worker to uphold and improve city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems. You will operate diverse heavy equipment, perform concrete finishing, and support crew activities on planned maintenance projects.

Responsibilities include reading plans, coordinating tasks, and training teammates while adhering to safety standards. CDL is required; supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• One year of supervisory or lead worker experience (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain construction equipment for streets, sidewalks and drainage projects.
• Transport equipment as required and apply sealing materials.
• Rebuild road shoulders and replace deteriorated curbs and gutters.
• Repair asphalt surfaces and base materials; oversee vegetation control and salt brine use.
• Remove debris from rights of way and fix storm drainage systems.
• Perform skilled street maintenance, read plans and blueprints.
• Assign tasks to crew, monitor performance, and ensure safety rules.
• Train crew members on equipment operation and maintenance; coordinate with managers.
