Job summary

The City of Kennesaw, GA is seeking a skilled Street/ Grounds Maintenance Worker to perform manual and skilled tasks on streets, rights of way, and public areas. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and certifications in Flagging and CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with experience in street/grounds maintenance or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
• Must possess and maintain Flagging and CPR certifications; other licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures; set up traffic control to protect crew and the traveling public.
• Perform road construction, maintenance, and repair tasks including patching and drainage work.
• Mow, trim, plant, maintain grounds, and perform park and lot upkeep as assigned.
• Remove litter and debris; transport, load, unload materials and equipment.
• Operate power equipment and various tools; perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisor and public as needed.
