Job summary

AWAKE is seeking a highly driven Senior Software Engineer to join the Streaming team, powering real-time messaging and personalization at scale. You will shape the architecture for our event streaming platform, enabling high throughput, low latency, and reliable data delivery across millions of events daily.

In this role, you will drive modernization efforts, expand debugging and load-testing capabilities, and collaborate with product, data, and infra teams to deliver scalable streaming

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience architecting and supporting high-throughput distributed systems.
• Experience with event streaming or messaging platforms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of modern streaming frameworks and cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the next-generation event streaming platform for high-throughput, low-latency needs.
• Enhance self-service tooling for observability, debugging, and load testing.
• Modernize streaming architecture and reduce unnecessary abstractions.
• Solve complex distributed-systems challenges for real-time workloads.
• Champion best practices and tool choices balancing innovation and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and infra teams to launch scalable streaming features.
